The College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan successfully conducted postgraduate medical examinations at the Pakistan Embassy Riyadh, marking an important step in facilitating overseas Pakistani doctors pursuing advanced medical qualifications.
The examinations were held under special arrangements made by the embassy, reflecting Pakistan’s continued support for its medical professionals working abroad. On the directions of Ahmed Farooq, Head of Chancery Mohammad Hamza visited the examination centre to review the arrangements and encourage Pakistani doctors appearing in the exams.
Mohammad Hamza interacted with the candidates, appreciating their commitment to professional excellence while serving in Saudi Arabia. He assured them of the embassy’s continued cooperation in facilitating academic and professional activities of the Pakistani community, particularly in the health sector.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Tazeem Hussain, Regional Director of CPSP, expressed his gratitude to the Pakistan Embassy Riyadh for providing logistical and administrative support for the conduct of the examinations. He said the cooperation of the embassy played a vital role in enabling Pakistani doctors abroad to continue their postgraduate medical education without disruption.
As a token of appreciation, Dr Tazeem Hussain presented an honorary shield from CPSP to Mohammad Hamza in recognition of his efforts and support in organizing the examination process at the embassy.
Meanwhile, a commemorative shield was also presented to Professor Kamran Khalid, a visiting professor from Pakistan, acknowledging his academic contribution and participation in the examination process.
The initiative was widely appreciated by Pakistani medical professionals in Saudi Arabia, who termed the arrangement a significant facilitation for overseas doctors striving to advance their qualifications while serving in foreign healthcare systems.
