Gold and silver prices recorded a significant decline in both international and local markets, with the price of 24-karat gold per tola falling by Rs6,500 in Pakistan amid a drop in global bullion rates.
According to market data, the price of 24-karat gold per tola in Pakistan fell by Rs6,500 to Rs533,362. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold dropped by Rs5,573, bringing it down to Rs457,271.
Silver prices also followed the downward trend. The price of 24-karat silver per tola decreased by Rs37 to settle at Rs8,894 in the local market.
The decline in local bullion prices came in line with movements in the international market, where the price of gold per ounce dropped by $65 to reach $5,106.
Bullion traders say that fluctuations in global gold prices, along with changes in currency exchange rates, continue to influence domestic precious metal markets.
