Dr. Tazeem Hussain, Regional Director of the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) in Saudi Arabia, has lauded the institution’s forward-looking initiatives in integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI), medical simulation, and international collaboration into postgraduate medical education.
During his recent visit, Dr. Tazeem praised the visionary leadership of Professor Khalid Masood Gondal, President CPSP, and Professor Shoaib Shafi, Senior Vice President, for steering CPSP toward innovation and global excellence. He said that the College’s commitment to embracing technological advancements and global partnerships is highly admirable and transformative for Pakistan’s medical education landscape.
He noted that CPSP’s collaboration with esteemed international institutions is playing a crucial role in enhancing skill development, professional growth, and global exposure for trainee residents and fellows. “Such partnerships encourage excellence, innovation, and continuous learning in medical education and practice,” he remarked.
Highlighting the integration of AI and medical simulations under CPSP’s vision, Dr. Tazeem termed it a revolutionary step in postgraduate training. He said AI’s role in improving diagnostic accuracy, surgical precision, and personalized treatment planning would significantly benefit both medical trainees and patients.
Dr. Tazeem Hussain extended his heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to the CPSP Council, particularly Professor Gondal and Professor Shafi, for their visionary leadership and dedication to fostering innovation in higher medical education. He also acknowledged the high standards of the FCPS examination and commended the successful workshop on AI and Simulation conducted by Professor James Innes, who participated as a foreign examiner during his visit to Pakistan.
