ISLAMABAD: The College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) and the Pakistan Embassy in Riyadh have agreed to enhance cooperation in medical education, facilitate CPSP examinations in Saudi Arabia, and launch joint initiatives to support Pakistani physicians working in the Kingdom.
The understanding was reached during a meeting between CPSP Regional Director Dr. Tazeem Hussain and Muhammad Hamza, Head of Chancery at the Pakistan Embassy in Riyadh.
During the meeting, both sides discussed a range of issues of mutual interest, including the smooth conduct of CPSP examinations in Saudi Arabia, strengthening bilateral collaboration between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in the medical sector, facilitating the continuation of higher medical education for the Pakistani community, and promoting joint initiatives between CPSP and the Pakistan Embassy to assist Pakistani doctors.
Dr. Tazeem conveyed gratitude on behalf of CPSP President Prof. Shoaib Shafi, Senior Vice President Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal, and the CPSP Council for the embassy’s continued support and cooperation.
He also appreciated the backing of Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ahmed Farooq, for supporting CPSP’s initiatives and the welfare of Pakistani physicians in the Kingdom.
Muhammad Hamza reaffirmed the embassy’s commitment to facilitating public service, particularly in the healthcare sector, and strengthening collaboration with CPSP for the benefit of both countries and the Pakistani medical community in Saudi Arabia.
Head of the Embassy’s Passport Section, Sajid Mahmood, was also present during the meeting.
