The Grand Mosque in Makkah will host the 45th King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorizing, Reciting, and Interpreting the Holy Quran from Saturday, bringing together participants from a record 128 countries.
Held under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the annual event is organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance. This year’s edition marks the highest number of participating nations since the competition was launched in 1399 AH, highlighting its growing international stature.
Widely regarded as one of the world’s most prestigious Quranic events, the competition showcases the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s dedication to promoting Quranic knowledge, supporting global initiatives to serve the Holy Quran, and spreading its message of peace, unity, and moderation.
