The Karachi administration has increased official flour prices across the city, revising both wholesale and retail rates for regular and fine flour through a new notification issued on July 9.

According to the notification, the wholesale price of regular flour has been increased from Rs110 per kilogram to Rs122 per kilogram, while the retail price has risen from Rs113 to Rs125 per kilogram.

The wholesale price of fine flour has been revised upward from Rs118 to Rs132 per kilogram, whereas its retail price has been increased from Rs121 to Rs135 per kilogram.

The notification, which replaces the rates notified on May 12, leaves the retail price of chakki flour unchanged at Rs145 per kilogram.

Commissioner Karachi has directed all shopkeepers to prominently display the official price list at their outlets and warned that strict legal action will be taken against those found violating the notified rates.
