ISLAMABAD: For the first time, the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) conducted its professional examinations at the Pakistan Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
This landmark initiative received commendation from CPSP President Professor Shoaib Shafi and Regional Director Dr. Tazim Hussain, who expressed gratitude to Ambassador Ahmed Farooq for his unwavering support.
Dr. Tazim Hussain highlighted that the examinations symbolize a significant step forward for Pakistani doctors in Saudi Arabia, providing them with access to professional growth opportunities. He further emphasized that this initiative strengthens the already robust Pakistan-Saudi ties, especially in the healthcare sector, fostering collaboration and skill enhancement.
CPSP President Professor Shoaib Shafi noted in his message that the participation of Saudi-based doctors in the exams represents a positive development for both nations. He reiterated CPSP’s commitment to extending all possible academic and professional support to healthcare professionals in Saudi Arabia.
The examination arrangements were supervised by First Secretary Muhammad Zulqarnain, with active participation from the embassy’s administrative team, including Muhammad Iftikhar. CPSP committee members, Dr. Shehzad Mumtaz, Dr. Mubashar Hassan, Dr. Raheel Ahmed, and Dr. Shad Ahmed, played a pivotal role in facilitating the examinations.
Ambassador Ahmed Farooq was lauded for his continuous efforts to assist the Pakistani community and his dedication to enhancing bilateral cooperation. The participants acknowledged the embassy’s exceptional arrangements and extended their appreciation to the entire staff involved.
