The Saudi pavilion at the Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI) 2025 exhibition was officially inaugurated today in London, underscoring Saudi Arabia’s commitment to strengthening its position as a regional hub for defense and military industries.
The pavilion was inaugurated by Eng. Ahmad bin Abdulaziz Al-Ohali, Governor of the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI), alongside several senior Saudi officials, including Dr. Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al-Dawood, Deputy Minister of National Guard; Lieutenant-General Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, Chief of the General Staff; Mr. Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Duailej, President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) and GAMI board member; and Mr. Bandar bin Salman Al-Sudairi, Chargé d’Affaires of the Saudi Embassy in the United Kingdom.
The event was attended by CEOs of leading Saudi defense companies, senior military officials, international defense experts, and specialists from across the globe. The opening tour featured a detailed briefing on Saudi Arabia’s latest military products, advanced defense technologies, and industrial capabilities on display.
In his remarks, Eng. Al-Ohali highlighted that Saudi Arabia’s participation in DSEI 2025 reflects the Kingdom’s strategic vision to localize over 50% of government spending on military equipment and services by 2030, a key target of Saudi Vision 2030.
“The Saudi pavilion serves as a strategic platform to showcase the significant progress made by national defense companies while promoting international partnerships to enable the sector and attract quality investments,” he said.
“Our participation demonstrates Saudi Arabia’s commitment to fostering global cooperation, enhancing innovation, and contributing to regional and international security and stability.”
The Saudi pavilion will serve as a hub for bilateral meetings with international companies and delegations, promoting knowledge exchange and collaboration. Participating entities include GAMI, the General Authority for Defense Development (GADD), Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI), Saudi Chemical Company Limited (SCCL), GDC Middle East, and the World Defense Show (WDS).
Running from September 9 to 12, DSEI 2025 is one of the world’s leading defense exhibitions, bringing together global leaders in the defense and security industries to explore new partnerships and showcase cutting-edge innovations.
Saudi Arabia’s participation demonstrates the Kingdom’s growing role in the global defense sector, its commitment to supporting national companies, and its focus on sustainable economic development and national security.
