ISLAMABAD: Salem Al-Dosari, a player from the Saudi national football team, fulfilled the wish of a young Pakistani fan by taking souvenir photos with him on Wednesday.
According to sources, a video clip featuring the child, Shes Saji, circulated online, where he was found expressing his desire to meet the Saudi captain. And, in response, Salem Al-Dosari, in coordination with the team’s management, invited Saji to visit the team’s headquarters in Islamabad. Salem warmly welcomed Saji, took souvenir photos with him, and gifted him his shirt. The heartwarming encounter was captured in a video titled “Captain Salem meets Chase Saji,” which was shared on the Saudi national team’s official account on the social media platform “X.”
The Saudi national team is set to face Pakistan on Thursday at Jinnah Stadium in Islamabad. This match is part of the fifth and penultimate round of Group Seven competitions for the second round of qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup and the 2027 Asian Cup.
