Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance Affirms to Build building global communication networks with Ministries of Islamic Affairs

ISLAMABAD: Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, and Executive Chairman of the Conference of Ministers of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in the countries of the Islamic world, affirmed the ministry’s dedication to building global communication networks with Ministries of Islamic Affairs.

This effort is guided by the wise leadership to advance Islamic work, strengthen ties, promote moderation, and combat terrorism.

His remarks were made during a press conference on Saturday, ahead of the 9th Conference of Ministers of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in Makkah, set to take place on Sunday. Organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, the conference is titled “The Role of the Ministries of Islamic Affairs and Awqaf in Promoting the Principles of Moderation and Consolidating the Values of Moderation.” It will feature participation from Islamic figures representing over 60 countries.

Sheikh Dr. Al-Sheikh stated that the conference aims to enhance Islamic solidarity and foster coordination and collaboration in Dawah, Awqaf, and Islamic affairs. The focus will be on promoting a correct understanding of Islam worldwide, in accordance with the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

The minister indicated that the conference will address several key issues, including the cause of Al-Quds (Jerusalem) and Palestine, matters related to Islamic Dawah, and the care of mosques. Additionally, the conference will facilitate the exchange of experiences regarding the appointment of imams and preachers, along with the programs and responsibilities assigned to them.

The conference underscores the importance of enhancing Islamic solidarity and cooperation, promoting moderation, and combating terrorism, reflecting the collective commitment of the participating countries to uphold these principles.
