Former Director General Health Pakistan Dr Fayyaz Ahmed Ranjha was honoured in Saudi Arabia during his Umrah visit, where colleagues and medical professionals acknowledged his longstanding contributions to the healthcare sector.
Dr Fayyaz Ahmed Ranjha, former Director General Health Pakistan and current Member of the Board of Trustees of the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP), visited Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah, where he was warmly received by fellow medical professionals.

During his stay in Riyadh, Dr Tazeem Hussain, Regional Director CPSP, along with Dr Raheel Ahmed and Dr Raza Amin, met Dr Ranjha and paid tribute to his outstanding services in the field of medicine. A dinner was hosted in his honour at a local hotel.
Speakers at the event highlighted Dr Ranjha’s distinguished career, noting that he has served in several key positions in the health sector with dedication and professionalism. He also rendered services as Advisor on Health to the Federal Ombudsman.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Ranjha reaffirmed his commitment to upholding the standards and prestige of CPSP. He appreciated the contributions of Pakistani doctors working in Saudi Arabia and acknowledged their role in enhancing the country’s reputation abroad.
He expressed satisfaction over the recognition and standing of CPSP’s FCPS qualification and praised the efforts of Prof Khalid Masood Gondal, Prof Shoaib Shafi, Dr Tazeem Hussain, and the CPSP Council for strengthening the institution.
At the conclusion of the event, Dr Ranjha was presented with a commemorative shield by CPSP Saudi Arabia in recognition of his services.
