ISLAMABAD: In a significant administrative reshuffle, Dr. Muhammad Fakhre Alam Irfan, a Grade 22 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service, has been appointed as the new Secretary of the Power Division.
As The Establishment Division issued a formal notification on 8th August 2024, confirming his transfer from the National Food Security and Research Division to his new role in the Power Division.
The notification reads, “Dr. Muhammad Fakhre Alam Irfan, a BS-22 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service, presently posted as Secretary, National Food Security and Research Division, is transferred and posted as Secretary, Power Division, with immediate effect and until further orders.”
Dr. Irfan, who has served in various key positions throughout his career, brings extensive experience to his new role in the Power Division. His appointment comes at a crucial time as the government seeks to address challenges in the energy sector.
