ISLAMABAD: The federal cabinet directed strict measures to reduce power line losses and against power theft.
A federal cabinet meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in which a report containing 18 attributes was presented on the January 23 electricity breakdown. According to sources, the cabinet members discussed the report in detail.
According to sources, in the report, NTDC, NEPRA and Power Control Management and Shift In-charge have been declared responsible, the cabinet approved to take departmental action against the responsible officers and personnel.
The Prime Minister expressed his anger over the 3 consecutive breakdowns and directed the Power Ministry to make a comprehensive plan to avoid such incidents in the future.
