ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cyber Crime Circle Islamabad has arrested a suspect for allegedly running a malicious propaganda campaign against state institutions and promoting banned terrorist organizations on social media.

According to an FIA spokesperson, the suspect, identified as Haider Saeed, was apprehended during a targeted raid in Bani Gala, Islamabad. Investigations revealed that he was actively spreading anti-state narratives and sharing derogatory content, particularly in the aftermath of the Jaffar Express tragedy.

The suspect was reportedly using social media to support and glorify banned terrorist outfits, disseminating provocative statements and extremist material to incite unrest. His activities were deemed a serious threat to national security, prompting swift action by authorities.

During the operation, FIA officials seized digital evidence, including his social media accounts and electronic devices, which are now under forensic analysis.
