Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that Pakistan can serve as a diplomatic bridge between China and the United States, playing a pivotal role in ensuring regional stability and global peace.

In an interview with German media during the Munich Security Conference, the former foreign minister discussed Pakistan’s evolving geopolitical role, its foreign policy expectations from Washington, and the security and economic challenges facing the region.

Concerns Over US-India Strategic Alliance
Bilawal raised concerns over the deepening US-India strategic partnership, warning that efforts to elevate India to China’s level could disrupt the regional balance of power. He emphasized that Washington could play a crucial role in fostering trade and diplomatic negotiations between Pakistan and India to promote stability in South Asia.

Regional Challenges and Pakistan’s Role
Highlighting common economic struggles, Bilawal pointed out that both Pakistan and India face pressing challenges such as poverty and unemployment. He reaffirmed that Pakistan would take all necessary measures to ensure its survival, sovereignty, and long-term stability in the region.

With global tensions rising, Pakistan’s strategic positioning makes it a key player in facilitating dialogue between world powers, particularly between China and the United States. Bilawal’s remarks signal Islamabad’s intent to position itself as a mediator on the global stage while addressing regional complexities.
