Riyadh: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during his visit to Saudi Arabia, where both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and collaborating for regional peace and stability.
The high-level meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. Discussions focused on expanding cooperation in key sectors, including trade, investment, energy, and defense.
Both leaders expressed satisfaction over the growing economic collaboration between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Prime Minister Shehbaz lauded Saudi Arabia’s commitment to boosting investments in Pakistan, emphasizing that such initiatives would significantly contribute to the country’s economic growth and stability.
Acknowledging the region’s evolving security landscape, both sides underscored the need for enhanced defense and security cooperation. They pledged to intensify joint efforts to tackle emerging challenges and ensure peace and stability.
Pakistan and Saudi Arabia also agreed to advance their shared vision for regional prosperity through deeper collaboration at all levels. The Saudi Crown Prince appreciated the contributions of the Pakistani diaspora in Saudi Arabia and assured further initiatives for their welfare.
Emphasizing the importance of cultural and educational exchanges, both leaders vowed to strengthen people-to-people connections. They reaffirmed their determination to take Pakistan-Saudi Arabia relations to new heights, driven by mutual respect, shared interests, and a common vision for development.
