Turkish President Erdoğan Arrives in Pakistan to Strengthen Bilateral Ties

ISLAMABAD: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan arrived in Islamabad today for a two-day official visit, responding to an invitation from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Turkish President Erdogan is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including ministers, senior officials, and corporate leaders.
During his stay, President Erdoğan and Prime Minister Sharif will co-chair the 7th Session of the Pakistan-Turkey High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC). The council serves as the highest decision-making forum between the two nations, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations across various sectors. The agenda includes discussions on trade, investment, defense, culture, tourism, energy, agriculture, and education. The session is expected to conclude with the signing of a joint declaration and several agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) aimed at enhancing cooperation in these areas.
In addition to the HLSCC meeting, President Erdoğan will hold separate bilateral discussions with Prime Minister Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari. Together with Prime Minister Sharif, he will also address the Pakistan-Turkey Business and Investment Forum, which will bring together leading investors, companies, and businesspeople from both countries to explore opportunities for economic collaboration.
This visit underscores the deep-rooted and historic ties between Pakistan and Turkey. Both nations anticipate that the engagements during President Erdoğan’s visit will further solidify their brotherly relations and expand multifaceted cooperation across various sectors.
