In implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God protect him – the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center on Monday launched a popular campaign to collect donations in the Kingdom through its “Sahem” platform. To provide relief to those affected by the floods sweeping the sisterly Islamic Republic of Pakistan due to the continued heavy rains.
His Excellency the Adviser at the Royal Court and General Supervisor of the Center, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabiah, said in a speech during the launch of the campaign, that the sisterly Republic of Pakistan is going through the worst natural disaster it has experienced in decades, as floods and torrential waters inundated a third of Pakistani lands, and the number of people affected by it reached more than 33 More than 1,300 people died, more than 13,000 others were injured, more than 550,000 homes were completely destroyed, 1 million homes were partially damaged, and roads, bridges and shops were affected.
His Excellency added that based on the generous guidance of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God protect him – and with the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister – may God protect him -, the King Center is launching Salman Relief, the popular Saudi campaign to collect donations through its approved platform, “Sahem” platform; To help the affected brothers of the Pakistani people, stressing that the generous directives reflect the humanitarian role played by the Kingdom to help the needy and affected people around the world, and also confirm the depth of the brotherly relations between the Kingdom, Pakistan and the two brotherly peoples.
Dr. Al-Rabiah urged the people of philanthropy to participate in the campaign and donate through the “Sahem” platform, through the “Sahem” application available in all mobile systems, or through the platform’s website, or the center’s bank accounts in a number of Saudi banks, stressing that donations reach The center will not deduct any administrative expenses from it.
His Excellency stressed that the center is the only body authorized to receive donations directed abroad, adding that to ensure that aid reaches its beneficiaries, the center enjoys close monitoring and follow-up on all its work in all countries in which it is located.
His Excellency raised his thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince – may God preserve them – for the care and attention they attach to everything that would alleviate the suffering of needy and affected groups, asking God Almighty to reward them with the best reward, and that the Almighty and Almighty alleviate the suffering of the brotherly Pakistani people.
