The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) has delivered 470 food baskets to vulnerable Afghan returnees in the Burka District of Baghlan Province, marking another significant effort under the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s expanding humanitarian mission in Afghanistan.
The latest distribution is part of KSrelief’s 2025–2026 Food Security and Emergency Support Program, designed to assist communities facing acute shortages. The initiative aims to stabilize food supplies for vulnerable households and support families returning to Afghanistan amid ongoing social and economic challenges.
According to KSrelief, the food baskets were provided to families identified as high-risk and in urgent need of nutritional aid. The Center emphasized that the operation reflects Saudi Arabia’s commitment to humanitarian assistance worldwide, with a strong focus on regions experiencing instability and displacement.
KSrelief continues to implement multiple relief projects across Afghanistan, including food aid, shelter assistance, health services and emergency support. Officials reaffirmed that the Kingdom will maintain its humanitarian role and work with local partners to reach the most affected populations.
