According to the IIA, the appointment reflects the growing international recognition of Saudi Arabia’s leadership in governance, transparency, and internal auditing. It underscores the global professional community’s confidence in Saudi expertise and highlights the Kingdom’s increasing contribution to advancing professional standards and building human capacity in the field of internal auditing.

The IIA commended Alshebeili’s “outstanding contributions” to the development of audit frameworks and his extensive regional experience in establishing and operating professional organizations.
