The Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) will host the fourth edition of the Global AI Summit in Riyadh from September 15 to 17, 2026, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and Chairman of SDAIA’s Board of Directors.
The high-profile global event will bring together government leaders, decision-makers, CEOs of major technology companies, experts, innovators, and researchers specializing in data and artificial intelligence from around the world.
SDAIA President Dr. Abdullah Alghamdi expressed gratitude for the Crown Prince’s continued patronage, noting that it reflects sustained support for the Authority’s initiatives, which have positioned Saudi Arabia among the leading nations in global AI indicators.
Dr. Alghamdi said the 2026 summit comes at a crucial time amid a rapid qualitative leap in artificial intelligence technologies that are transforming modern life and shaping the future. He emphasized that the event will contribute to supporting the Kingdom’s transition toward a knowledge-based economy while advancing the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
Building on the success of previous editions in 2020, 2022, and 2024, the upcoming summit is expected to feature impactful presentations, strategic agreements, and major initiatives. Among the notable achievements from earlier summits is the launch of the International Center for AI Research and Ethics (ICAIRE), a UNESCO-affiliated global center headquartered in Riyadh.
Dr. Alghamdi added that the summit further reinforces the Kingdom’s vision to establish a sustainable, knowledge-driven economy and strengthen its position as a global hub for artificial intelligence. He stated that the event stands as a practical demonstration of Vision 2030’s commitment to innovation and digital transformation.
