History of Pakistan has many ups, downs and coincidences and is somehow predictable. Most Pakistani governments are formed with collaborations with other parties. These types of Governments are considered to be very weak. Moreover, it’s used to say Pakistani establishment intentionally form such weak Governments so that they may remain a major shareholder in power. Pakistani political system promotes personalities not parties, as well as there is hardly seen a democratic behavior within the political parties. It’s more like a king system the crown will remain within the family.
This undemocratic behavior increases the chances of corruption as well on all levels. This is the reason the most profitable profession in Pakistan is considered to be a politician. It’s very unfortunate but it’s true that this unethical approach toward politics where you come up in power with the people’s vote destroys the country politically, economically and morally. Well on the other hand economically pissed off public really have a short memory. They forgive and forget and select the same people again and again or in other words the whole corrupt political system has enslaved a strong voice of the people and the middle class is so hopeless from this whole system that this is not coming up for change.
We always heard of power politics. It’s a mindset that politicians are powerful and resourceful and it’s rooted into people’s minds. The majority of people in countries like Pakistan consider it as a universal truth. This acceptance has given freedom of corruption and at all top levels across the board. Power of votes is generally used against the people. What I consider a tragedy when slowly these power puffs become the demigod. Unfortunately rich countries used these demigods as their touts and forced them to decide against the interest of their own countries and peoples.
This is a recent time story in Pakistan power pillars changed the players that has changed the whole game. A large majority of people in the country are against this change. This is the reason the new voice of Imran Khan has touched the hearts of people and with every passing day this voice is becoming stronger.
Moreover, this voice is against the mindset of present political and undemocratic cultures in the country. Majority of the middle class is with Imran Khan, which is an indicator for change. Almost all segments of society protested and have shown their concern for their country.
In democracy the will and interest of people must prevail. All stakeholders need to analyse the current situation of the country. People of the country are well aware of recent events and their voice cannot be stopped by force or any other means.
In this whole scenario if power players cannot undo the whole unconstitutional and undemocratic actions then it is better to announce a new election to avoid further conflict and chaos. This move would ease the whole situation and it would be in the best interest of the people and the country.
