The first group of Iranian pilgrims arrived at Arar Airport on Sunday as part of a coordinated initiative led by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to ensure their safe and dignified return home via the Jadidat Arar Border Crossing.

This initiative follows the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, based on the recommendation of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The leadership has emphasized the importance of providing Iranian pilgrims with comprehensive services and care throughout their journey until their safe return to Iran.

Upon arrival at the airport, the pilgrims were warmly received by officials from the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and associated partner agencies, who facilitated all logistical arrangements for their onward travel. The ministry’s field teams swiftly implemented a joint operational plan in coordination with the Iranian side to ensure a smooth, respectful, and expedited departure process.

A dedicated operations room was set up to monitor every stage of the transfer, ensuring that all necessary services and assistance were provided to the pilgrims up to the point of departure.

The successful transit of the first batch marks the beginning of a phased repatriation plan, underlining the Kingdom’s commitment to extending hospitality and logistical support to pilgrims of all nationalities, including those from Iran.
