Gold prices witnessed a sharp decline in both domestic and international markets on Monday, with the price of one tola in Pakistan falling by Rs5,600, tracking a fresh downturn in global bullion prices.
The All Pakistan Sarafa Market and Jewellers Association (APSMJA) said the price of one tola of gold dropped by Rs5,600 to Rs424,136.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold fell by Rs4,801 to Rs363,628.
In the international market, gold prices declined by $56 per ounce to $4,017, prompting a corresponding reduction in domestic bullion rates.
The latest decline offers temporary relief to prospective buyers after gold prices had remained near historic highs in recent weeks.
