Staff Report
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), in collaboration with Pakistan’s National and Provincial Disaster Management Authorities, has successfully completed the distribution of 30,000 food packages under the Food Security Support Project Pakistan 2024–25 (Cycle 2), reaching over 200,000 individuals across 33 underserved districts nationwide.

The large-scale initiative aims to support low-income families living below the poverty line in some of Pakistan’s most vulnerable regions. Beneficiaries span five districts in Gilgit Baltistan (Diamer, Astore, Ghizer, Hunza, and Shigar), five districts in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (Neelum Valley, Muzaffarabad, Jhelum Valley, Bagh, and Sudhnoti), seven districts in Punjab (Lahore, DG Khan, Muzaffargarh, Bahawalpur, Okara, Layyah, and Bahawalnagar), five districts in Sindh (Sukkur, Khairpur, Umerkot, Jamshoro, and Matiari), and eleven districts in Balochistan (Killa Saifullah, Zhob, Kachhi, Lasbela, Kalat, Dera Bugti, Quetta, Killa Abdullah, Sibi, Loralai, and Pishin).

Each 95-kilogram food package includes 80 kilograms of flour, 5 liters of cooking oil, 5 kilograms of sugar, and 5 kilograms of chana dal—providing essential nourishment to families facing acute food insecurity.

The distribution process was carried out with full transparency and oversight by KSrelief in collaboration with local district administrations, the Peace and Development Organization, and the Hayat Foundation.

This initiative underscores KSrelief’s continued commitment to addressing food insecurity and enhancing the livelihoods of Pakistan’s most vulnerable populations, aligning with broader humanitarian efforts to promote stability and dignity across the region.
