Petrol price likely to go up by Rs 6/liter from July

Prices of petroleum products are likely to witness upward revision with the start of next month of July 2021.

According to sources, Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has forwarded its working to the petroleum division regarding future oil prices. However, Finance Minister in consultation with Prime Minister Imran Khan will announce a final decision in this regard on Wednesday.

As per details,  petrol price is likely to go up by Rs 6 per litre with the start of July 2021 in the country. Similarly, High Speed Diesel (HSD) price is also likely to be increased by Rs 3 per liter.

Sources said that increase in oil prices is worked out in line with current petroleum levy imposed on per litre price of the petroleum products. Petroleum levy on HSD is Rs. 3.61 per litre and petrol is Rs. 2.97 per litre.
