The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) scheduled to meet on Wednesday is likely to approve Rs11, 712, 980 million amount of Technical Supplementary Grant (TSG) for establishment of four Mother and Child Hospitals in various districts of Punjab province.
According to sources, ECC will take up three summaries of finance, and power division in its scheduled meeting on Wednesday. And, it is expected that the ECC may approve TSG of Rs 11,712, 980 million for establishment of four Mother & Child Hospitals in Punjab
As per details, finance division has solicited TSG of Rs 11,712, 980 million for establishment of four Mother & Child Hospitals in Punjab from ECC.
These four Mother & Child Hospitals will be established in Attock, Layyah, Rajanpur and Sialkot with total Rs 23, 425, 960 worth amount wherein Rs 11,712, 980 million will be federal and Rs 11,712, 980 million as provincial share respectively.
Earlier, the Central Development Working Party (CDWP) had approved four mother and child hospitals projects submitted by the Punjab government to be funded on a cost sharing basis by the federal and provincial governments.
Similarly, Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives (PD&SI) had already made allocations to these schemes through adjustments in PSDP 2020-21 and surrendered the amount of Rs 11,712, 980 million from the head “IB 2318 COVID-19 Responsive and other natural calamities control program” under Demand No. 178 vide surrender letter dated 24-01-2021 enabling finance division to obtain TSG.
It is pertinent to mention that cabinet division has requested ministries/division to kindly ensure that in view of present wave of COVID-19, minimum number of participants may attend the meeting.
