Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has taken notice of billion rupees worth irregularities allegedly made in federal capital’s sector G-14 and asked Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) to provide certified documentary record till June 30, 2021.
According to sources, FIA while taking notice of billion rupees worth irregularities allegedly made in the land of capital’s sector G-10 till 30th has asked Director (Land), FGEHA to present record in this regard till 30th June 2021.
The FIA, in a letter to FGEHA’s Director (Land), has informed that an enquiry has been registered at FIA Anti-Corruption Circle, Islamabad and asked to provide certain documentary record mainly in order to proceed further into the matter.
As per details, FIA in its letter asked to provide duly certified copies of awards pertaining to BUP of Sector G-14/1, G-14/2, G-14/3 along with Qabz-ul-Wasool, duly certified verified copies of complete GPS maps prepared by the Urban Unit of Sector G-14/1, G-14/2, and G-14/3. Similarly, FIA sought provision of duly certified copies of complete list of affectees along with phone numbers and addresses. Likewise, FIA asked FGEHA to provide duly certified copies of all the perfomas (assessment of built up property/structures) of measurement with the name of signing persons. More, duly certified copies of complete payment vouchers of BUP of the above said sectors should be provided. Furthermore, FIA requested FGEHA to provide duly certified list of plots with offer issued to affectees of G-14/1, G-14/2, and G-14/3,
It is also learnt from sources that FGEHA officials and employees were allegedly involve in obtaining power of attorneys from landlords of sectors (F-12 & G-12) in the name of relatives and friends as well. And, federal housing minister, Tariq Bashir Cheema while taking notice of some complaints of the affecttee landlords, has advised Director General, FGEHA to stop payment of Rs 76 crore. Similarly, FGEHA stopped original landlords from selling their own property through the power of attorney besides advising these original landlords to submit applications with Deputy Commissioner Land Acquisition Collector.
Surprisingly, the process of obtaining power of attorney from the original landlords of the said two new sectors i-e F-12 & G-12 of the federal capital was continued from the last one year and the decision to give payments on power of attorney was taken without getting approval of the Law Department, said sources.
