ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Finance has issued a notification announcing an increase in petrol prices by Rs 10 per liter for the last two weeks of the current month of April.

As per the new rates, the price of petrol has been raised to Rs 282 per liter across the country. However, the prices of high-speed diesel and light diesel have been maintained at their current levels. During the last fifteen days of April, high-speed diesel will be available at Rs 293 per liter, and light diesel at Rs 174.68 per liter.

The notification also stated that kerosene oil prices have been increased by Rs 5.78 per liter and will now be available at Rs 186.07 per liter.

It is pertinent to mention that the decision has been taken due to the increase in global crude oil prices, which has put pressure on the government to raise the prices of petroleum products. However, the move is likely to impact the common man and businesses, who will have to bear the brunt of the price hike.
