The Iraqi government has offered to grant free entry visas for the Arabeen visit of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) to Pakistani citizens from 19th August 2023 until 20th Septembers, 2023.
H.E. Mr. Hamid Abbas Lafta, the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Islamabad while making this announcement said that based on the profound relations between the Republic of Iraq and Islamic Republic of Pakistan and as a result of the friendly discussions that took place between the Ministry of Interior and Foreign Affairs of Pakistan and their counterparts in the Republic of Iraq, the Iraqi government has offered to grant free entry visas for the Arabeen visit of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) to dear Pakistani citizens from 19th August 2023 until 20th Septembers, 2023.
The Embassy of Iraq also informed the Pakistani visitors to make preparation of round-trip tickets through each of the national carriers, the Iraqi Airways or Pakistan International Airline (PIA). Similarly, Embassy of Iraq advised the Pakistani citizens that entry port for pilgrims who intend to travel by road shall enter from Al-Sheeb border. Furthermore, Baghdad International Airport and Al-Najaf International Airport will support air transportation.
