PM annoyed over creating hurdles in the power generation from nuclear power plants

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has expressed his indignation over the National Transmission Dispatch Company (NTDC) and the Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) for creating obstructions in the production of cheap electricity from K-2 and K-3 nuclear power plants.
According to sources, perturbed over the delay in the production of cheap electricity from nuclear power plants the PM has instructed Secretary Power Division to remove the obstacles by meeting with the relevant authorities.
As per details, the Prime Minister has inaugurated three nuclear power plants on February 2, but the transmission line has not been completed yet. Two nuclear power plants of 1100 MW have become operational, but the two companies have not signed a tripartite agreement yet. The fuel cost for the production of electricity from K-2 and K-3 is only Rs. 1.06 per unit. The 500 KV Port Qasim to Matiari transmission line for the cheapest nuclear power is delayed.
K-2 and K-3 nuclear power plants have been completed with the cooperation of China at a cost of 1400 billion rupees.
