Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malkiy has criticized recent Iranian attacks, calling them unjustified aggression, highlighting civilian casualties, warning of global implications, and appreciating Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts to ease tensions and promote regional and international stability.

Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malkiy, has strongly criticized recent Iranian attacks targeting the Kingdom and other Gulf countries, terming them a matter of grave concern.

“The recent Iranian attacks in the region, which have targeted the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries, are a matter of grave concern,” he said.

The ambassador described the strikes as “unjustified aggression against sovereign states that are not part of any dispute.”

Highlighting the human cost, Al-Malkiy said, “As a result of these regrettable attacks, innocent civilian lives have been lost.”

He stressed that the situation carries global implications beyond the region. “This is not merely a route for maritime vessels — the interests of the entire world, the stability of the global economy, and the security of humanity are all linked to this region,” he noted.

Warning of broader consequences, he added, “Here, the threat does not remain regional; it becomes a global humanitarian issue that affects people’s lives and their fundamental right to security and stability.”

Emphasizing the importance of international norms, the envoy said, “Respect for international law is an indispensable necessity for safeguarding our common future.”

He also appreciated Pakistan’s diplomatic stance, saying, “We highly appreciate the position taken by the government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and its continuous diplomatic efforts.”

Reaffirming Saudi Arabia’s position, Al-Malkiy concluded, “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia firmly believes that wisdom and strict adherence to international law are the only path forward.”
