According to the USC spokesperson, this price cut specifically benefits registered families under the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) with PMT 40. For these BISP customers, the price of ghee has been reduced from Rs 393 per kg to Rs 375 per kg.

In addition to BISP beneficiaries, general consumers will also benefit from this reduction. The price for general consumers has been lowered from Rs 463 per kg to Rs 445 per kg. This reduction is part of USC’s ongoing efforts to provide affordable essential commodities to the public, particularly those in need.

The USC’s decision to reduce ghee prices aims to alleviate the financial burden on households and ensure that essential food items remain accessible to all segments of society.
