The Saudi leadership has directed a significant intensification of humanitarian assistance to the Gaza Strip through expanded air, sea, and land relief operations under the Saudi Campaign to Support the Palestinian People, in response to the worsening humanitarian situation in the enclave.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, the directive was issued by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Commenting on the initiative, King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Supervisor General Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah said the decision reflects the Kingdom’s continued commitment to supporting the Palestinian people during times of crisis. He emphasized that the move builds on Saudi Arabia’s longstanding humanitarian role and underscores the deep-rooted solidarity of the Kingdom with Palestine.

Dr. Al Rabeeah noted that the directive reaffirms that Palestine remains central to the Kingdom’s leadership and people, adding that humanitarian assistance has always been a core value of Saudi society and a consistent national stance.

Under the Saudi relief campaign, KSrelief has established both air and sea bridges to deliver aid to Gaza. So far, 77 aircraft and eight ships have transported more than 7,600 tons of food, medical supplies, and shelter materials to support the affected population.

In addition, 912 Saudi relief trucks carrying food, shelter items, medical supplies, and equipment have reached the Gaza Strip. The Kingdom has also provided 20 ambulances to the Palestine Red Crescent Society to support emergency medical services.

KSrelief has further signed agreements with international humanitarian organizations to implement relief projects inside Gaza valued at $90.35 million. To overcome access constraints caused by closed crossings, the center has also conducted humanitarian airdrop operations in coordination with Jordan to ensure timely delivery of assistance.

Saudi officials reiterated that the Kingdom will continue its humanitarian efforts to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people and support relief operations through all available channels.
