The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has provided 79 cartons of dates to 474 Afghan returnees from Pakistan and Iran at a refugee camp in Kabul Province, as part of its 2026 humanitarian assistance program.
The beneficiaries, comprising 79 families, received the food support under a wider project aimed at distributing 300 tons of dates across Afghanistan this year. The initiative seeks to assist vulnerable segments of society, particularly those returning to the country amid economic hardship.
The distribution was carried out at a camp housing returnees who recently arrived from neighboring countries. Aid officials said the effort is focused on addressing immediate food needs and offering relief during Ramadan, when demand for essential food items increases.
The assistance is part of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing humanitarian outreach through KSrelief, which continues to implement relief projects to support communities in need and alleviate suffering in Afghanistan.
